In 2017 the Trump administration ended new applications for Deferred Action Against Childhood Arrivals (DACA). On 12/07/2020, as a result of a court order, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) stated that it will once again accept new applications.
DACA allows certain young people to remain in the US with work authorization and a promise from the government to not deport them for being brought to the US undocumented. In some circumstances, DACA applicants can receive a travel permit.
